Windows To The Ancient World

Mondays 6:00-7:30pm

Course Begins Monday, February 24

This new Seminar at ANBSC will introduce students to a selection of early Jewish and Christian writings that grew up alongside the biblical text.  These writings provide a window into the world in which the biblical text emerged.  Collectively, they help provide a fuller understanding of the message of the Bible.

Course topics include an introduction to: the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Apocrypha, the Pseudepigrapha, Apocalyptic Literature, Rabbinic Literature, the writings of the Early Church Fathers, the works of Josephus and Philo, the formation of the biblical canon, and more.

An Introduction To Romans

Sundays 9:45-10:45am

Course Begins Sunday, March 1

This new course at All Nations Biblical Study Center will introduce students to the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans, his longest and most detailed presentation of the gospel message. The original setting, cultural context and linguistic background will be highlighted throughout the course. Each of the major themes of Romans will be discussed, including: the power of the gospel, righteousness and justification through faith, salvation for all, the purpose of the Law, life in the Spirit and God’s eternal purposes for the people Israel.
